Boyd Meets Girl pairs Australian classical guitarist Rupert Boyd with American cellist Laura Metcalf, in an ensemble that performs a diverse and exciting mix of works from the baroque through modern day.
Both are respected soloists in their own right, Boyd has been recognised by The Washington Post as “truly evocative”, and by Classical Guitar Magazine as “a player who deserves to be heard”, while Metcalf’s playing has been described as “brilliant” by Gramophone Magazine, and she has been called “a cellist whose passion for music is as evident as her artistry and talent” by I Care If You Listen.
Begin the night with champagne & canapés in the Gallery followed by the main course and dessert in the Cafe before settling in to the upstairs Octagon for a sublime performance by Boyd Meets Girl.
